May 12, 2022: Mingzhe Wu received the 2022 Andrew Stewart Memorial Graduate Prize. The Andrew Stewart Memorial Graduate Prize is significant and unique in that is awarded in direct recognition of excellence in research at the doctoral level.
Feb. 24, 2022: Nie Hou has successfully defended his dissertation, “Dynamic Optimization for Dual-Active-Bridge-Based DC-DC Converter Systems,” and earned his Ph.D. degree!
Oct. 29, 2021: The paper titled “A Dual-Input Single-Output DC-DC Converter Topology for Renewable Energy Applications” by Pasan Gunawardena et al., received the second prize from the IEEE IAS Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conversion Systems (RSECS) Committee conference paper award for 2020-2021.
Oct. 10, 2021: Pasan Gunawardena and Xuesong Wu participated in the ECCE student project demonstration, presenting the first-of-its-kind design of a GaN Chip-based Flying Capacitor module developed in the ELITE Grid Research Lab at the University of Alberta.
Aug. 03, 2021: Dr. Yuzhuo Li from the ELITE Grid Research Lab provides a PELS webinar entitled Systematic Relationships of Power Converter Topologies through Graph Theory.
